Pageviews vs Sessions vs Visits PV (aka page impressions; session = visit; Comscore 'visits')
Three ways to count consumption: individual page loads, grouped browsing sessions, and visits, and they don't move together.
The fork, why two teams get different numbers
PAGEVIEW: one content load, but a single-page app, infinite-scroll feed, or AMP/canonical duplicate can each count a "page" differently, and auto-refresh can log repeat pageviews with no new content.
