Service Level ~ (aliases: cycle service level CSL / Type 1, fill rate / Type 2, in-stock rate)
How reliably you can meet demand from stock, measured either as how OFTEN you avoid a stockout, or what FRACTION of demand you fill.
The fork, why two teams get different numbers
Type 1 vs Type 2 service level, two different probabilities both spoken of as "95% service." TYPE 1 (cycle service level): the probability of NOT stocking out during a replenishment cycle, an event probability per cycle.
