Viral Coefficient / K-Factor k (also "viral coefficient", "k-factor")
How many new users, on average, each existing user brings in through invitations or sharing.
The fork, why two teams get different numbers
Two constructions travel under "k." The INVITATION-DECOMPOSITION k = (invites sent per user) x (conversion per invite) -- an instantaneous, mechanical estimate of loop output per user.
In the Metric Library
- The full fork, both definitions worked all the way through
- The trap that makes the number lie, on a real export
- Every formula variant, spelled out
