Amazon Business Reports, Detail Page Sales & Traffic (by ASIN)
The Seller Central Business-Reports CSV of sessions, page views, buy-box share and "Ordered Product Sales" per ASIN/SKU. It is a demand/traffic report read as if it were money received, it is neither settled nor net.
The shape, how the file is really laid out
One row per (Parent) ASIN, (Child) ASIN or SKU depending on the chosen report,
with columns such as Sessions - Total, Session Percentage, Page Views,
Featured Offer (Buy Box) Percentage, Units Ordered, Units Ordered - B2B, Unit
Session Percentage (conversion), Ordered Product Sales, Ordered Product Sales -
B2B, and Total Order Items. Figures are in the marketplace currency and the
marketplace timezone (e.g. US Pacific). Percentages are share-of-total WITHIN
the selected date range. The parent-item view rolls up its children.
The traps
Ordered-basis trap: "Ordered Product Sales" is counted at time of ORDER, gross, before cancellations, returns, refunds and before every Amazon fee, it is demand, not cash, and will never equal a settlement deposit or the P&L.
- Every trap in this export, worked through
- The reconciliation anchor, the total the file asserts about itself
- The refusal cases, when to stop and ask instead of guess
