Bradford Factor aliases: Bradford score, Bradford index
A score that weights many short, separate absences far more heavily than a few long ones.
The fork, why two teams get different numbers
The core formula is fairly standard (spells squared, times total days), so the disagreement is about scope, not arithmetic: the measurement window (rolling 52 weeks versus fiscal year), whether authorized and protected absences are excluded before scoring, and the trigger thresholds that map a score to disciplinary action.
